The success of any company is largely due to the support, expertise and commitment of its employees, and for Altom Farms, the added strength and support of family. Each member embodies the foundation of trust, integrity and mutual respect the company is built on.
Taking a rare break
Kevin Altom, Coy Altom, and Greg Altom
(Left to Right)
Kevin L. Altom, sole owner of Altom Farms, LLC and Altom Construction Company, LLC, brings the same strength and tenacity to the farm industry that he brings to the construction industry. A man of extraordinary vision, Kevin Altom started Altom Construction in 1991 with an aged backhoe and a lot of determination. Today Altom Construction Company is a multi-million dollar building, blasting and excavating enterprise with a fleet of state-of-the-art equipment. Kevin is applying the same principles to Altom Farms that made Altom Construction Company a success - Trust, Integrity, Knowledge, and Excellent Customer Service.
Greg A. Altom - Look behind the facade of any successful company and you will find a solid support system. At Altom Farms that support system is skillfully managed by Kevin's brother, Greg Altom. A man of many talents and endless energy, Greg, who is also the general manager for Altom Construction, is an example of multi-tasking at its finest. Skilled at operating any type of construction or farm equipment, Greg can be seen conducting construction business via cell phone while baling hay! Equally at home in the business office, Greg manages the accounts for both Altom Farms and Altom Construction. Exhibiting outstanding people skills, Greg is an excellent trainer and company representative.
Coy L. Altom - Altom Farms is truly a family supported enterprise. Coy Altom, Kevin and Greg's father has donated many long hours helping on the farm while his wife Judy (Kevin and Greg's mother) helped with babysitting. Coy, who retired in 2000, still enjoys putting in a hard day's work. He is eager to help out wherever needed and is just as comfortable swinging a hammer as he is driving a tractor. Judy is accustomed to farm life having been raised on her parent's 500 acre farm in Kansas. Although Coy and Judy raised their family on a 20 acre farm (complete with cows and crops) near her parents, they didn't farm for a living. Coy worked in the maintenance department of a local hospital and had a part-time heating and air conditioning business on the side. Coy and Judy reside in Kansas and have 6 children and 12 grandchildren.
